Sandra Babb

Conductor, 2024 Middle School Honors Junior Concert Choir (Ambassador Auditorium)

Sandra Babb is Associate Professor of Choral Music Education at Oregon State University, where she teaches and conducts the Soprano-Alto choir, OSU Bella Voce, and has performed for state, region, and national conferences of the American Choral Directors Association and the National Association for Music Education. Dr. Babb is also the Artistic Director for the Heart of the Valley Children’s Choirs in Corvallis, Oregon.

She is known for her work in developing choral tone, and is an active conductor and clinician throughout the United States. She has conducted all state and honor choirs in more than a dozen states across the nation. She has co-authored articles in Choral Singing and Music Education and is a contributing author for many publications. Dr. Babb received her BME, MME, and PhD in music education from Florida State University, and she is a National Center for Voice and Speech certified vocologist. Sandra currently serves at the President-Elect for the Oregon chapter of ACDA and the R&S Chair for Treble Choir of the northwest region of ACDA. Sandra Babb enjoys living in the Pacific Northwest, singing with the Corvallis Repertory Singers, building partnerships with local K-12 schools, and directing the OSU Summer Choir Camp for high school singers.
