Sightseeing Extension

Enhance your experience in Europe by enrolling in an Honors Sightseeing Extension.

Looking for a way to extend the fun of your family's Honors Performance Series experience? Our new Sightseeing Extensions allow Finalists and their loved ones to add two additional nights to their stay! A licensed guide will be your host as you explore more of what Austria has to offer.

Note: The Sightseeing Extension is offered only as a full program and cannot be sold as individual components.

Registration Details

  • All Finalists will be given the opportunity to enroll loved ones in the Series Sightseeing Extension via their student portal following acceptances.
  • Since this experience is in addition to the Finalist program, performers wishing to participate must select the Sightseeing Extension as an add-on via
  • Enrollment in the Sightseeing Extensions is subject to the same program Terms and Conditions and Standard Cancellation Policy acknowledged during the Finalist's online enrollment.
  • Family Program participants under 22 may attend only if accompanied by a participant aged 22 or older.
  • High School Finalists (and loved ones under 18) must be accompanied by an authorized adult aged 25 or older.

Sightseeing Extension Itinerary

The Honors Performance Series Sightseeing Extension provides an opportunity for Finalists and their loved ones to add to their Series experience with additional sightseeing and cultural activities. Participants receive the support of a professional guide and the peace of mind that comes with the Series' embedded insurance and 24-hour emergency and medical support. Please note that all itineraries are tentative and subject to change.

Tuesday, August 2, 2022

  • Free time for breakfast
  • Meet your guide and enjoy a scenic cruise up the Danube to Bratislava.
  • Bratislava: Explore the capital city of Slovakia and enjoy highlights such as Bratislava Castle (pictured above), Michael's Gate, Town Hall, and the famous Blue Church.
  • Free time for lunch
  • Return to Vienna by boat
  • Evening free time in Vienna

  • Free time for breakfast
  • Meet your guide to set off for morning touring by public transit
  • Belvedere: One of the highlights of Vienna, these two Baroque-palaces-turned-museums are home to many famous works of art, including Klimt's The Kiss.
  • Free time for lunch
  • Wiener Reisenrad: Enjoy views of Vienna and the surrounding countryside from 212 ft aboard Vienna's giant Ferris wheel, the Wiener Reisenrad.
  • Late afternoon and evening free time

Sightseeing Extension Inclusions

The Sightseeing Extension includes the following for each participant:

  • Admissions and motorcoach/boat/subway transportation for all activities outlined in the above itinerary
  • Licensed guide to accompany you to program activities and support you during your stay (Sightseeing Extension exclusive)
  • Return transport to Vienna International Airport (VIE) at the conclusion of the program
  • 24-Hour staffed emergency phone number to handle the unexpected (Sightseeing Extension exclusive)
  • Doctors on Call arrangement for medical support while on the program (Sightseeing Extension exclusive)
  • Extensive traveler insurance while on the program (Sightseeing Extension exclusive)
  • Two nights' lodging in the Series hotel (double occupancy)

Please Note: Participants are responsible for their own meals and transportation to/from Vienna for the Series and Sightseeing Extension.

Sightseeing Extension Cost & Payment Plan


The cost for each 2022 Vienna Sightseeing Extension participant will be announced in early 2022. Participants have the option to satisfy the full program expense upon enrollment or may include the Family Program tuition in the Finalist's payment plan.
