Matthew Brady

Conductor, 2024 High School Honors Treble Choir (Carnegie Hall)

Matthew Brady is an American conductor and tenor. He is currently serving on the faculty at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. There he conducts Symphonic Choir and Bella Voce, and teaches courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to his academic post he is the Artistic Director of Miami Collegium Musicum. Prior to joining the Frost School, Matthew was the Director of Choral Activities at the New Mexico Military Institute and led the Choral Program at California State University, San Bernardino.

Matthew is an active professional ensemble singer. Recent engagements have included performances with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Choral pick-up, Dallas Bach Choir, Dallas Choral Festival, Westminster Summer Festival Chorus and more.

Matthew is finishing a Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of North Texas. He holds a Master of Arts in Choral Conducting with distinction, from the University of Birmingham (UK), a Master of Music in Choral Conducting with honors, from Westminster Choir College, and a Bachelor of Music Education from Western Michigan University.
