Fundraising
Fundraising is a great way to help raise a portion of the program cost, while also giving performers a sense of ownership in making their Honors Performance Series experience a reality. Finalists who use the Fundraising Template Letter, Gift of Performance E-Card, and the Press Release Template have the most success fundraising for their program. We've shared links to these resources plus a wealth of ideas and tips to ensure you succeed!
Gift of Performance E-Cards: Your friends and family can help to send you on the performance experience of a lifetime. Ask your friends and family to contribute to your fundraising, perhaps in lieu of gifts for your birthday or the holidays. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Visit www.honorsperformance.org/e-card to access the Gift of Performance E-Card. Enter the requested email information and send. Those closest to you will enjoy their special e-greeting and the opportunity to be a part of your unforgettable experience!
Fundraising Template Letter: Write letters to businesses and individuals in your community using our Fundraising Template Letter. Often, when businesses become aware of an opportunity like the Series, they are willing to help!

Press and Media
Your selection to perform with the Honors ensembles provides a unique opportunity to bring positive attention to your abilities, your school, your private studio, or your community.
Publicity is a powerful tool that can help take your planning and fundraising goals and trip to the next level. Our goal is to get you the most traction and to garner publicity for your trip and your achievement and fundraising goals.
Press & Fundraising Webinar: In 2019, our program partner, WorldStrides, helped us present a webinar on The Power of Press & Fundraising. In the webinar, WorldStrides’ Public Relations Manager provides tips to harness the power of local media to promote your achievement and help meet your fundraising goals. Click here to access the webinar recording.
Public Relations Toolkit: One resource highlighted in the Press & Fundraising Webinar is the Series PR Toolkit. This kit has been crafted to help you maximize attention paid to your Series experience – whether you’re aiming to amp up your fundraising efforts or just to tell the story of your experience with the Series! We hope you find these tips, ideas and templates to be helpful along the way.
