Group Flight Information

Looking to fly to Sydney with other participants? Check out our optional Group Flight Package for Finalists and 6-Day Family Program participants.

For some, flying alone internationally may seem daunting. We’re pleased to be able to offer a limited block of seats on direct flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to/from Sydney Airport (SYD) to escort participants on the international leg of their journey. Participants may choose to meet Series staff in (and then say goodbye from) LAX instead of traveling the entire journey on their own. These arrangements are optional, and the cost is not included in the program tuition. Seats are limited for these chaperoned flights and reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note, only Finalists and 6-Day Family Program participants are eligible for the Group Air Package. The Group Air Package is not available for the Sightseeing Extension.

Cost of Chaperoned Group Flight

The cost for each round-trip Program Flight is TBD US.

When elected as an add-on item on my.honorsperformance.org, the group flight tuition will be added to the Finalist's existing payment plan, if applicable, or can be fully paid at the time of selection.

Group Flight Includes

  • Round-trip airfare from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Sydney Airport (SYD)
  • Staff on-site at LAX to assist with arrivals from home-city airports and departures to home-city airports
  • Staff on the flight to provide a safe, worry-free experience on the international journey
  • Assistance with international entry at customs and immigration

Travel Logistics

The group flight will depart from and arrive at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Participants must arrange their non-program flights to arrive at or depart from LAX with plenty of time to allow for immigration, baggage claim, check-in, and security processes, as well as unexpected delays or cancellations, even if this means a long layover.

Depending upon your hometown, this may mean taking the day’s first available flight to LAX (at the start of the program) and the last available flight from LAX (on the return) or even considering staying overnight at LAX. The Series recommends allowing for a minimum 7–10-hour layover between your self-arranged hometown flight and the program flight in each direction.

Note: Should any flight delay or cancellation from your home city interfere with your ability to connect to the outbound program flight, you may lose your ticket and be required to purchase another flight at your own expense. The Series is not responsible for any delay or cancellation of the return program flight that causes a missed connection with a non-program return flight to your home city.

July 5, 2025, Departure Time from LAX to SYD:
Approximately 10:35 PM Pacific Time

July 12, 2025, Arrival Time to LAX from SYD:
Approximately 6:00 AM Pacific Time
[Arrange connecting flights to depart well after 6:00 AM]

Should you choose to join us on the program flights, please do not purchase your hometown-to-LAX and LAX-to-hometown flights until you have received confirmation from the Series that your flight registration has been accepted and we have a space reserved for you. You will receive an email within 3-5 business days after submitting your Group Flight Reservation confirming that we have a space for you on the program flight.

Registration Details

  • All Finalists will be given the opportunity to enroll themselves or any 6-Day Family Program attendees in the Series Chaperoned Group Flight via my.honorsperformance.org.
  • Since this optional flight is an add-on to the Finalist program, performers wishing to be on the group flight must select the Chaperoned Group Flight as an add-on via my.honorsperformance.org.
  • Enrollment in the Chaperoned Group Flight is subject to the same program Terms and Conditions and Standard Cancellation Policy acknowledged during the Finalist's online enrollment.
  • Space on the group flight is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
