Music Program Highlights

The Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall is more than a program. It’s a defining moment for high school musicians with big dreams and bold ambition.

This audition-based program selects top-performing high school students from across the globe, offering the opportunity to rehearse and perform under renowned conductors on one of the world’s most iconic stages.

Set in the heart of New York City, the high school musicians elevate their craft, forge lifelong friendships, and take the next step toward a future in music.

A Stage Steeped in History

Carnegie Hall first opened its doors in 1891 and quickly became the standard for musical excellence. This historic stage, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, is the destination for the world’s finest musicians who aspire to perform on the stage once graced by the presence of musical greats like Tchaikovsky, George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Judy Garland, The Beatles, Yo-Yo Ma, and many more. Honors Performance Series musicians treasure the opportunity to perform on the world-renowned Perelman Stage inside the Stern Auditorium.
