The Honors Performance Series Family Series allows supporters to stay in the same hotel as their Finalist and attend select program events that are otherwise closed to non-performers, such as a select rehearsal, touring with Finalists, and the Finalist Celebration. A priority ticket to the Honors Performance at Carnegie Hall is included in both Family Series packages—additional non-priority tickets are also available to the public through the Carnegie Hall box office.

Note: Family Series is offered only as complete 3- or 5-day programs. Individual itinerary events cannot be purchased separately.

Registration Details

  • Finalists can enroll loved ones in the Series Family Series via their my.honorsperformance.org performer portal following acceptance.
  • Family Series participants under 22 years of age may attend only if accompanied by a participant aged 22 or older. For safety reasons, Finalists may not leave their Chaperone unless checked out by an authorized adult above the age of 25.
  • Finalists should not register for the Family Series. They will be automatically registered for the Finalist program (upon acceptance) through the application and selection process.
  • Enrollment in the Family Series is subject to the same program Terms and Conditions and Standard Cancellation Policy acknowledged during the Finalist's online enrollment.

The Honors Performance Series Family Series provide a hassle-free experience for loved ones to share in select activities and events of the Series. Family members can rest easy knowing that all details are taken care of for them while also gaining access to exclusive Series events.

Family Series Itineraries

The Family Series packages are designed to allow family, friends, and educators to share in the Honors Performance Series experience, while also providing additional time to explore New York City. Since most Series rehearsals are closed, the Family Series include other activities and free time. Both itineraries provide an opportunity to experience the best of the sights and culture in New York City.

Please note that all itineraries are tentative and subject to change.

5-Day Family Series Sample Itinerary

Day 1

  • Afternoon arrival to New York City
  • Airport greeting and transfer to the hotel (registered family only during specified times at LGA airport)
  • Check into the program and meet your Finalist’s Chaperone

Day 2

  • Visit One World Observatory, including the 9/11 Memorial
  • Free time to enjoy New York City
  • Attend a Broadway show with Finalists

Day 3

  • Carnegie Hall or alternate arts venue tour (TBA)
  • Family Series participants attend a rehearsal
  • Afternoon free time to enjoy New York City
  • Sightseeing with Finalists

Day 4

  • Metropolitan Museum of Art visit (voucher included, touring on own)
  • Honors Performance at Carnegie Hall (priority seating for Family Program participants)
  • Finalist Celebration with Finalists

Day 5

  • Farewell and return transfer to the airport (registered family only during specified times to LGA airport)
  • Afternoon departure for home

Carnegie Hall Performance Tickets

One priority ticket is included with each Family Series registration. Seating at Carnegie Hall is assigned and a special priority section, noted on the Carnegie Hall seating chart to the right, is reserved for Family Series participants.

Priority tickets are extremely limited. Additional (non-priority) tickets can be purchased through the Carnegie Hall box office 60 days prior to the performance. We cannot accommodate requests for individually purchased tickets to be seated in the priority seating section. These seats are reserved for Family Series registrants.
